Hello newest Spikey! I know, a bit corny, eh, but that’s the term that has come to stick for those folk who are part of the clan known to be followers of Uncle Spike 🙂

Thank you… I really appreciate that as I for one, know how many interesting and entertaining blogs are out there.

My aim is to deliver an eclectic offering of posts, from my ‘point n shoot’ attempts at basic photography, to the sharing of my travel adventures over the decades, as well as day to day happenings here on the farm. Oh, plus a few observations on life as I see it, thrown in for good measure.

My promise to you is not to be overbearing, just a couple of posts a day, maybe 3 at weekends if I have something special to share. But if you are at a loose end one day, maybe you’ll enjoy trawling through some of my older stuff too. I have added plenty of categories to help in said digging process.

Thanks again and hope you have a great day…

  9. You were quick off the mark today. Thanks.

  14. What a great place to find! I mean this place. Found as a result of your recent decision to follow Learning from Dogs: thank you.

I was living in Sydney back in 1968 before accepting a commission to travel all around Australia writing about Finns living and working all over the place. Drove over 15,000 miles in an old Land-Rover in which we lived as well. Fascinating memories from well over 40 years ago.

Anyway, I waffle on! Would love to publish a guest post or two from you. Fancy doing a guest Sunday Picture Parade?

    • No worries, I’ve followed your baking blog too. Although I’m no so much into cooking, you have some great recipes that might inspire me to turn on the oven 🙂 or if not, I’m enjoying looking at the pictures which are really good by the way.

  19. Hello Kristin, I especially like your blog, as I see myself in it in some way, just the way you like to get around, the way you see the world, and capture big things as well as the little ones, possibly the totally less important, but overall very important in the whole scheme of things, I know you know what I mean… Beautiful work – I will enjoy keeping up with you in my reader! 🙂

  23. Greetings from New England–
Just wanted to thank you for dropping by my blog. I perused your images and I dare say they have a visceral, yet rounded feel to them. Very nice. You images of sea glass are a case in point. They bring me to the northeast beaches and to the smooth-edged glass that glitters in the sand….All the best to you!
