The memories of a man in his old age
Are the deeds of a man in his prime.
You shuffle in gloom of the sickroom
And talk to yourself as you die.
Life is a short, warm moment
And death is a long cold rest.
You get your chance to try in the twinkling of an eye:
Eighty years, with luck, or even less. (Lyrics Pink Floyd)

Oh dear those words are rather gloomy, but they do go with the photo

Not down my usual track, but after editing the picture and ending up with the dark mood, that seems to be the direction the post took 🙂 Many of my posts are created around a picture I have taken, rather than taking a picture for a post. I guess the more creative writers would plan their posts then search out the subject and photograph it. I take photographs then the post seems to create itself when I’m editing the picture. How do you create your posts Pauline?

I agree, blogging can take so many directions, it is never boring. On my “Gypsy life” post I tend to create my posts on places I have been or things I have done with the corresponding photos. On my “Memories” blog I use it for the various challenges and looking back through my memories. They sometimes swap over if a challenge that comes up fits into a current outing then it goes into the “Gypsy” blog. Must admit it is all a bit addictive and very time consuming…

Yes, quite addictive and time consuming. Someone asked me why I bothered and I said; “It beats watching TV and I’m not a book reader, so I guess it’s just my downtime thing” 🙂

One of my favourite bloggers Meg recently wrote a post about her addiction to blogging. It makes very interesting reading and it certainly struck chords with me. I agree far more interesting than the rubbish that is called entertainment on the TV…https://morselsandscraps3.wordpress.com/2015/08/04/blogging-a-memoir/

The sun is the same in a relative way, but you’re older. Shorter of breath and one day closer to death..
