Star Trek – The Television Series

In 1964 Roddenberry writes a proposal for a new science fiction series. The show is set aboard a “cruiser class” space ship. Each week the ship visits a new planet and civilisation. The first pilot was rejected by the NBC television networks.
In 1965 a second pilot starring William Shatner as captain of the star ship Enterprise was approved by NBC.
1987 Star Trek TNG (The Next Generation) starring Patrick Stewart hits the airwaves.
1993 Star Trek Deep Space Nine starring Avery Brooks is the first Star Trek series not to be set on the Enterprise.
1995 Star Trek Voyager starring Kate Mulgrew is set on the space ship, they are lost in space.
2001 Star Trek Enterprise a prequel series starring Staring Scott Bakula is released.

Which is your favourite series? God, that’s like asking which of your children is your favourite. I love them all equally.
So, you’ve seen all the series? Yes and except for the original Star Trek starring William Shatner, I’ve seen them at least twice.
Who would you consider some of your favourite characters? Spock (of course), Scotty, Picard, Data, Worf, Q, O’Brien, Quark, Odo, Dukat, Janeway, Tuvok , The Doctor, Seven of Nine , The Borg Queen, Archer, Trip, T’Pol
Which character would you like to be? Q or Seven of Nine.
Would you like to see a new Star Trek Series? Hell yes….

    I may one day steal your ‘interview with myself’ – what a great idea!

    I’ve always loved STAR TREK, ever since I was kid. My favorite is, perhaps, DEEP SPACE 9. It’s a darker universe, but that is why I find it so compelling. Great post.

    I love all the Star Trek, and was very happy that the ‘new’ ST films are respectful of the old series πŸ™‚
