This is where we have chosen to nest and rear our young this year.
I took these photographs with my phone when I was out walking Chi near “My Beach” this week. They were quite tolerant considering Chi was sniffing around under their tree. Not wanting to stress them, I took a few quick shots and left them to it.
Rainbow Lorikeets nesting. Photographs taken in Woody Point, Queensland, Australia.
They are very cute! and what a place to build a nest!
Thank you for your likes and follow, I very much appreciate it!

Thanks Ian.. I’m having issues with WP over the past few days. The likes counter is way off. Sites I visit and like are not showing my like a day later. Any comments I’m answering via my Android phone are not showing even though I am logged in under my account. Your last few comments have gone to my spam folder despite our mutual following. Why oh why have they played around with the format… it was working just fine. My message to W.P – If it aint broken… leave it the F*k alone…

How cool. We have a brown dove nesting in our shade house. She has two babies that are just getting feathers now.

That’s sweet Suz. I love seeing birds tending to their babies this time of year. Like us, they are so consumed by their offspring’s needs. The poor wee things look so ragged by the end of the season.

It was so sweet until this morning when the crows got them. *sigh* Poor things.
