Welcome to the Brisbane Airport – Domestic Terminal Fashion Runway. We like to travel in comfort.
And the prestigious award of Best Dressed Domestic Traveller goes to this young chap.
I thought I would have a bit of fun and take some snaps while I was enjoying a coffee waiting for MM’s plane to land. Have you been to the airport recently for a photo shoot? My activities caught the attention of security and I could feel the eyes boring into me. The agents came in all disguises from the guy in a black suit, black sunglasses and hiding behind a pole, to the baggy shorts and floral shirt dude. Once upon a time I would have taken their photo just to see what would happen… Luckily I have grown up.. but the thought did cross my mind. Deciding MM wouldn’t be so please to arrive at the airport to find me in a little room explaining myself to security, I packed the camera away.
Ha ha. Is that a stuffed kangaroo hanging from the roof? lol
Just last week we were discussing with friends how people dress for flights these days. My friend commented that her mother would never dream of not being dressed beautifully to travel and someone else suggested that in this day of cheap air fares it means that anyone can travel now and not just those who ‘can afford it’. It was an interesting conversation for sure. I know when I travel I try to look nice but I need to dress for comfort. After all, when you are so crammed into your seats that your knees touch the seat in front and you’re touching thighs with the person next to you, you need to be as comfortable as possible to avoid wriggling around too much. lol
As to the security… I guess seeing as the G20 is on soon and the current political climate is a little tense some people are taking their jobs seriously.

Yes, goodness knows how that stuffed toy got up there. I like to travel in comfort too… but draw the line at thongs 🙂
Good to see security on the job.
